TASK 1

This week we have had a task about conceptual thinking. It is our first activity in this subject and that is why we are nervous, but at the same time excited for starting this new adventure. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we have enjoyed it.

FACILITATOR WEEK 1

Hi everyone! I am Victoria and this week I am the Facilitator of the Spiky teachers team.

As it's the first week, my role has been easy because we have helped each other in order to better understand the dynamics of these works.

First of all, for the distribution of the different roles, we made a raffle on February 6th and then we create a group in WhatsApp to be all in contact and to decide easier the dates for our meetings.

 Finally we decided to meet on February 7th at half past five at the Merced Library, where we share our ideas for the creation of the images and their meaning. All of them were created by us combining different elements.

Besides, as one of our group mates was ill, we made a video-call through Skype in order to work all together as if she were there with us. During this meeting we made some breaks with the purpose of relax ourselves and work better after it.

To conclude, the distribution of this task has been very easy, as it was a clear activity. We hope that from now on everything will continue working well.

JOURNALIST WEEK 1

Hello!!!! I am Sara and this week I have been the journalist of the Spiky Teachers team.  This role is very interesting and I had so much fun doing it. My role consisted in following and telling the story of the group during the dynamic of the weekly work. So…here we go!

As this is our first task we were a bit lost but our facilitator helped us to organize everything. We met the next day after the task was given to us. Before going to the meeting we agreed to think at home about the five ideas and the images that we had to present on Wednesday,  and then at the meeting put all the ideas in common.

On Tuesday afternoon, all of us went to the meeting at 17:30 in La Merced where we book a class to work together, and although one of our members was ill we manage to made her participate at the meeting by using Skype. Once we were together we started a debate about which idea will be the best for the presentation. As we are very perfectionist it took us a long time to find the perfect picture for our idea, also we made our own images with the program photoscape. 

 

 

We created this blog the week before starting this task, because on Monday we did a presentation of the group and of each of the members. 

On Wednesday we went to class without knowning how we would have to present our proyect.
In class the teacher created a dynamic where all the STARS of the groups were placed in different parts of the class and they also had to paste the photographies on the wall creating all together a "museum". Then each group had to go to the stat situated two possitions on the left of their start and try to guess which was the tittle of the photographies of that group. After doing that twice and having some problems with the "left" concept.., each start explained us the true meaning of the photographies of their groups.

 

We enjoyed this activity so much and we are looking forward to the next adventure in this subject!

ANALYST WEEK 1

Hello everyone, I am Emma and this week I am the Analyst of the Spiky team. My role is to write a reflection about the week work.

This week we have been in the task “Conceptual photography”. The part more interesting of this activity has been the creation of the different images related to education, due to the fact of which they have been product of our imagination and it has helped us to motivate our skills of communication.

As we are very demanding, the part that more difficult has been to find subject matters that we thought that would be valid and original.

During the accomplishment of this activity we have had very entertaining moments, such as the skype conversations with Clara because she was sick. Thanks to the technological innovations it has been very simple to contact her distantly.

We have learns a lot of new vocabulary related to education. In addition, we have carried out new ways to show their contents of the activity that we will be exposing in class; it has allowed us to develop our creativity, resting on Internet and on our own experience. Moreover we have learnt new concepts related to the educational area different from those that are usually applied to this topic.

This has been possible thanks to the participation of all the members of the group and has allowed us to observe different points of view. Regarding to the next week we must preserve the companionship that we have had this week, as well as to help ourselves in the different tasks in which we have had some problems. The participation of each one of us has been crucial for the resolution of this task and this us has made possible to be able to have a simpler perspective of our roles in the group.

One of the things that we must improve with regard to the next week is the distribution of the time due to the fact that the task has been accumulated until the last moment and this disorganization has made us to feel a bit oppressed. 

The content of this task treats very important topics with regard to our degree, since our major aim is the good and innovate education in the stage of primary. 

All that we have learnt in this course such as in other subjects will help us to create our identity as teachers and to be formed to be able to carry out our future profession. We might relate this task to the course of educational psychology; due to the fact that both courses treat the way of teaching and the most deducting forms of motivate students. The company is changing, as well as the way of educating in the colleges since the world is in continuous evolution and we must mold our ways of thinking and of seeing the others to be able to live in peace and respect the values of all the citizens. Nowadays one tries to change the concept that the company has on the education, including this one area new manners of educating and relevant aspects different from those who normally assume to the education. Many political parties have introduced in his electoral programs proposed to improve the education and methods to create a more productive education. These changes also have allowed the elimination of many prejudices, as the racism or the sexism between the pupils. The new advances only are the beginning of an advance towards a better way of educating and, therefore, of learning, obtaining this way a few pupils major  prepared and with major labor possibilities in a future, assuring this way his personal and professional development.

The worst moment of the week has been to put on all in agreement in meeting to realize the activity because we have a lot of things to do in the afternoons, and to come an agreement with regard to the context of this task.

TRANSLATOR WEEK 1

Hello I´m Marta, and this week I have worked as the translator. In the task of this week we only learn a new word, that only our classmate Clara know the definition of this word, and she explained to all of us. I will only include the definition of spiky, because although we have learned other things doing this task the main learning was not in the vocabulary, this was an easy task for as, and we have the oportunity to use our creativity. Something curious about this new word is that has become in our name group, and also the name of our pet that is a funny cactus.

Spiky: is a term use for sharps objects that in the most situations are dangerous and can cut, hurt and so on. An example of something spiky is a cactus, or a knife.

CURATOR-FARMER WEEK 1

Hello! I am Andrea, this week I have worked as curator of the Skipy Teachers team.

As we had to search 5 pictures to perform the task of this week, we decided to create them ourselves. The images were based on the ideas that we were collecting together.
In order to carry out this task we have used a program called PhotoScape. Our classmate Ana has provided us with information about this program, since she had previously used it.
