JOURNALIST WEEK 2

Hello! I´m Marta and this week my role consist in being the journalist of my team. I find this a very interesting role because one of my favourite hobbies is taking photos so I really enjoy the task of the week however I didn´t have the opportunity to enjoy to the fullest because I was sick and I have to spend some of the time in the hospital.

We start doing the task on monday in class, creating a general idea about what we have to do. Later on Monday afternoon we meet in the library, firstly we start to search information about the given questions on the internet, also thinking about what information map we will choose  and an original way to do it, once we decide what to do we have started to do it being so creative.

The next time we meet that was on Tuesday, it was based on the creative work because we elaborate the manual work doing the information map introducing inside the TPACK concept, we were all the afternoon doing a cooperative work really peacefull and efficient, we have divided the work between each other in a very equitative way, at the end of the day Andrea as she was the facilitator she came with chocolate to motivate the team. It was a hard team work but we finally ended with success.

And finally on Wednesday, Clara and Sara our stars have presented our task in class, explaining in five minuts to each class group what information we have found and by showing our information map, developing the TPACK concept.

                                               

And finally comes up the day that our stars shone, presenting our task in an interactive way to the rest of the class.

ANALYST WEEK 2

Hello everybody! I am Ana and this week I am the analyst of my group, so I have to do a reflection about our work.

The task of this week has been about the concept TPACK. We have to explain it answering different questions. This has been the most difficult part of the activity, because we had to understand this concept in order to explicate it in a correct way and some of the questions were complicated, so that I think that it has been the worse part of the activity. However, some aspects of TPACK were related to a subject that we had got in the first semester. We remembered that we studied different methodologies in this subject, such as some which joined content with technology (TCK), so it was helpful to answer the questions.

Although it was difficult, we have learnt what TPACK is and also what is an information map, since we have to do one in order to introduce this concept. For that reason, the best part of this week task has been the opportunity that we have had to learn new concepts which will help us in a future.  

The best moment of the week was during the preparation of the presentation because we were united helping each others. We decided to do a big poster which symbolizes a computer screen and we were so proud because it was very similar to a real screen, and also we felt that our colleagues liked it.

Also, during the preparation of the task, we sometimes felt that we would not have enough time to finish our poster and we were stressed, so it was the worst moment of the week. However, we kept calm and we worked hard, so we finished our task successfully, this is something that we have to maintain for the following weeks, because it was a good “strategy” to do a good job. Nevertheless, I think that we should manage our time in a better way, in order to continue doing a good job but with less stress during the following weeks.

Apart from the bad moments I think that Spiky Teachers is a good team and we will improve our work during the rest of the course.

TRANSLATOR WEEK 2

Hi people! I'm Victoria and this week I'm de translator. I'm going to show some of the new words that we have learned this week in order to remember and keep them. During the realization of the task we have realized that there were many words that we had never listened.

TPACK: It is a concept which supposed to have all the knowledge that a teachers needs to dominate and integrate correctly ICTs in their lessons.

FRAMEWORK: Real or conceptual structure intended to serve as a support or guide for the building of something that expands the structure into something useful.

MINDMAP: Graphical technique for visualizing connections between several ideas or pieces of information. Each idea or fact is written down and then linked by lines or curves to its major or minor (or following or previous) idea or fact, thus creating a web of relationships. Like other mapping techniques its purpose is to focus attention, and to capture and frame knowledge to facilitate sharing of ideas and concepts.

Pedagogical Knowledge (PK): This is the knowledge and practice of teaching & learning that an educator can use such as classroom management, taxonomies, planning & assessment…

Content Knowledge (CK): This is the knowledge of subject content such as concepts, theories, ideas, frameworks, evidence & proof and established practices  including ways to develop such knowledge.

STAR WEEK2

STAR CLARA

Hi! I'm Clara, I am the Star this week and I want to share my experience with you.

First of all, I have to say that I get a bit nervous when I have to speak in public, that's why having Sara's company during the presentation helped me to feel more secure.

This session was very special because all the posters were located in different parts of the class and every group, except the stars, were watching the presentations one by one, so we made it nine times and it allowed us to be more and more relax.

Besides it was very useful for me in order to practice and to improve my oral expression and pronunciation mainly because our colleges gave us some feedback.

START SARA

Hello!! I am Sara an this week my role was the supporter, but because this week were needed  two starts in order to do the activity, I have done the role of a start with my college Clara.

Althought I am a very sociable person and I do not look like I have problems when I have to talk in public, this task wasn´t easy to me because I am very nervious when talking in public and more in a foreing language.

We did the presentation 9 times, in the first 3 times I was very nervious but in the rest we were very confortable and I think that we did a really good job.
